If a picture is worth a thousand words, than certainly there are 100,000 words that are left out, intentionally or not. I think in general we tend to only photograph the good, pretty or exciting things. We just don't think of bringing out the "big camera" for the little moments. Those day-to-day memories tend to stay on our phones, if they are photographed at all. And looking back through an album, it can be a little deceiving in the sense that we are missing… the mess, the tears, the hilarious chaos of life.
So every once in a while I try to intentionally photograph, creatively, the imperfect, non-events of my life to fill in the blanks between the perfectly posed portraits, holidays and big events.
A little piece of my tornado yesterday afternoon…. we brought the tub of baby toys up out of the basement and had fun rediscovering some of Micah's old favorite toys, introducing them to Matthew.
