“Busy Season” is Here…

I just looked at my calendar and counted twelve sessions for October. That’s a lot for me! I admire photographers who can crank out that kind of volume in one week, but it’s about all I can manage and still be a full time mom during the day, while getting a sufficient amount of sleep at night. I’m constantly juggling between business, family and home, but I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m not going to lie, though, if there was a way for me to be able to afford a full time cook and maid, I would so be there. A girl can dream…

I’ve got a bunch of pictures of my boys sitting in Lightroom just waiting to be edited, but I’ve got 4 orders to fulfill first, so you will have to wait to see those. Tonight I’m working on some newborn photos from this past Monday and wrapping up my “Summer in the Kitchen” branding shoot. What a fun project to be a part of — I am collaborating with Ahndea May & Lindsay Letters to develop a whole branding package for Summer and her new venture. When Summer’s website goes live this fall, I will be sure to share a link.

Okay, I can’t blog without sharing at least one photo, right? Here is a preview from Jacob and Alex’s newborn session on Monday. There are so cute!! There is something so special about brothers – they will have a friend for life. Their individual personalities were already evident during their session. While Alex slept soundly through pretty much everything, Jacob required a little extra soothing and rocking, and he was quite persistent about opening his mouth. What a silly little guy! I always find myself laughing (quietly, of course) during my newborn sessions. Babies are so funny, sometimes. And sometimes, they are just so cute that you can’t help but to laugh!
