Anna was the first newborn I got to photograph in my new studio space. I have to say I absolutely loved having all the extra room, storage for my blankets and the fact that only the newborn room in my studio was 80 degrees, allowing us to step out to cool off if we needed to. There is a window looking out to my seating area, which allows parents to continue to watch if they want to cool off. I have a large shelf module from IKEA that I use to store my blankets now, which makes it easy to see all of the colors at once. It’s much better than having them all folded up in storage bins! I’ll have to take some pictures once I finish repainting and decorating that room.
Sweet Anna was only 9 days old and she slept so soundly. She was asleep when she arrived and slept for the whole first hour. What a little peanut! I kept giggling at her cuteness. She kept making the cutest little noises, too. She has a gorgeous head of soft brown hair, graceful little fingers and the most perfect tiny mouth.
Near the end of the session, she started to open her pretty eyes for us. I think she loved all the attention she was getting from her parents; she remained pretty peaceful and content. She almost looks like she is smiling a little bit. She did smile quite a few times during the session, unfortunately it was always while I was wrapping her. I did catch a little smirk from her on the bean bag, though. So cute!
