I am so used to photographing small kids and babies, that I have become accustomed to really working for my shots. I chase toddlers, I act like a total goofball, I say silly things, and sometimes it can take quite a while to get the shot I am looking for. (And I may never get exactly what I want; it is just the way it goes!) When I do get to photograph a grown-up family, it almost feels like walking into the grocery store without my kids. So much freedom! What do I do with this extra time?! I almost feel weird that I am not doing all those extra things. Suddenly, simple directions are magical words. Have you ever asked a four-year-old to “lift your chin just a little bit?” Yeah… they’ll be looking straight up at the clouds. Or they will run away. You know… normal kid stuff.
So we got to do lots of fun things and I took entirely too many pictures of this gorgeous family. Here are some of my favorites!
