Gage is my cousin’s little boy and he turned 1 this month! He is so cute, and I just can’t get over how much he looks like his mom. You may remember him from his newborn photos…

Here he is one year later…

Mister Xander (I always like to call newborn boys “Mister” because they look like little old men to me) is the adorable son of one of my husband’s groomsmen in our wedding. He was 2 weeks old on the day of his session – and awake for a good portion – but oh so sleepy for the rest! He’s a handsome little guy…

Little miss Lily (Lillian) – her name is special because it is the one I have picked out if I ever have a daughter. After meeting this sweet little baby girl, I love the name all the more! She had such a personality and so many expressions at just one month old.

I was so thrilled to finally get to photograph another newborn girl (after sooo many boys). I made a few new hats and pulled out some girly props for this session – so much fun! Elsa is gorgeous – congratulations Christina & Dayne!

Kate went to my high school and we were in choir together. That was the last time I saw her, actually, so to see her now with her husband and a beautiful new son, well… there are no words. Jacob is a very special little guy – they drove practically across the country to adopt him. But all you have to do is see the way they look at him to know he is very loved.

This morning (err… technically yesterday morning – I’m a night owl) I got to photograph one of the cutest newborn boys I have ever had in front of my lens. He was a little all-star model, too, never crying or fussing while we moved him from pose to pose.

I can’t believe Elliot is 1 year old (this next week) – he is the little baby that helped get me started when his mama was pregnant and let me practice on her and then again when he was born.  He is such a cutie!

Nadia has gotten so big since the first time I met her in February. She was so little then that we had to lay her on her back for her portraits because it was hard for her to keep her head up. When she came over for her 6-month pictures, she had just learned to sit up. Now she is pulling up to stand and becoming quite mobile! She cracks me up because she always starts out very serious, will smile for us a little bit, and then she is totally done with the shoot. She is so cute!

Our good friends welcomed a new baby girl to their family a few months ago. Evelyn is such a sweet-pea that I hogged her a little bit this afternoon when her family came to visit. After lunch Jayna and I whisked her upstairs to my little studio, leaving the husbands with the toddler & the preschooler to get a few cute shots of Evie and her adorable head of hair! I threw together a little headband on the fly using a silk flower and a scrap piece of ribbon. Isn’t she a beautiful baby?
