I’ll admit, this session has been one of my favorites. First of all – I am in love with shooting downtown Rockford. It has so much character and there are so many choices for backgrounds and lighting. Aside from that fact, these sisters are dressed up so cute, I was a little jealous of their urban style. They were great models – I really hope I have the chance to work with them again!

Our Family Portraits {Personal Share}

This was a collaborative project months in the making. I did Heather’s family/maternity photos a few months ago, and we scheduled mine for about a month after when we thought her babies would arrive. She picked the location, I picked the clothes, we both picked the poses and she obviously did all the shooting, and then finally I edited them. (Now that the twins are here, we just decided I would do the editing since Heather has her hands full 24/7! Even though I know she won’t be able to resist putting her own spin on her favorites.) I think Heather and I work so well together – both of our sessions were so much fun and both happen to be two of my favorite shoots ever. Biased? Maybe…

I LOVE THESE!! And now I feel like I have gotten a new perspective on what things are like for my clients – being on the other side of the camera – and the excitement of seeing the results. I have already ordered a book and I can’t wait to get it!
